Top 5 iOS Investing Apps in Latin America: Q4 2020 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the investing and financial management app category on the iOS platform experienced varying trends across the top five applications in Latin America. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into these movements, which show how each app fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

IQ Option saw a declining trend in both downloads and weekly active users throughout Q4 2020. Starting with nearly 20K downloads in the last week of September, the app experienced a decrease to approximately 6K downloads by mid-December. Similarly, weekly active users dropped from 120K to about 76K in the same period.

XP Investimentos, despite not generating revenue, had a relatively stable performance. Downloads showed slight fluctuations, with a peak of over 6K in mid-October, and ending the quarter with about 7K downloads. Weekly active users showed growth, starting at roughly 121K and reaching over 130K by the end of December.

Another app with zero revenue, Binomo, experienced a dip in downloads from 5.5K to around 4.7K by the year's end. Active users saw a rise in the last weeks of December, from 7.5K to approximately 6.4K, reversing the downward trend seen earlier in the quarter.

IQ Broker had a notable surge in downloads, from around 1.7K in late September to a significant spike reaching over 15K in the last two weeks of December. Weekly active users reflected this growth, starting at 9.5K and dramatically increasing to about 43K.

Investing.com: Stock Market was the only app among the top five to generate revenue, with figures fluctuating throughout the quarter. Downloads remained steady, ranging from 3K to 3.7K, while weekly active users saw a slight decrease, starting at 84.5K and ending the quarter just over 80K.

The data from Sensor Tower outlines the dynamic landscape of the investing and financial management app market in Latin America, highlighting the importance of keeping a close eye on user engagement and download trends.
